I BELIEVE in every woman. In your wisdom. In your body. In your baby. You are beautiful, you are strong.
I'm here to help you to find all information you need, and to support you without any judgement.
Hi, my name is Anna, but all my friends call me Anya, and you can too. I was born in Siberia, Russia. After university I moved to Budapest, Hungary where I started to teach Hatha and Prenatal yoga classes. It was here where I had my first experience as a birth doula - the moment when I realized that I want to support women was in this sacred moment. Then I became pregnant and moved to Austin, TX.
After reading books about childbirth I realized that I wanted a home birth. It's a long story (you can read it in my blog), but eventually I had an amazing unassisted birth of 10 pounds baby with 38cm head without any tears and even scratches. After that experience I think we are incredible.
Our mind and body in a such deep connection,
that we can do everything,
if we believe in ourself
And I believe in every women. In your wisdom. In your body. In your baby. I'm here to help you to find all the information you need to make the best decision. I believe it's very important to listen to yourself and to your body. I want all women to know that we all deserve respect. You definitely need to feel confident and safe, to be comfortable with the birth atmosphere and people around wherever you decide to have a birth: at the hospital, at home, at a birthing center or at any other place. It will be an honor for me if you choose me as your doula.
When I started to read more about Postpartum Depression - how common it is and how it affects women's lives and a child's development - I decided to became a Postpartum Doula and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. Studies have shown that having a strong support system during pregnancy and after can help prevent Postnatal Mood Disorders. I hope I can make your journey a little bit smoother while you work on recovering from birthing and bonding with your baby. After our work together you should feel more knowledgeable, nourished, rested, supported, and most importantly, you should feel ready as you move forward on your journey.
